COD ORDERS
Minimum COD order is $50.00 in merchandise, shipment via UPS Ground only (no air or parcel post). The flat-rate, plus a $9.00 COD fee per package applies. Payment by money order or certified check only, not cash.
DAMAGED ITEMS
If you discover a damaged shipment, THE CARRIER SHOULD BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY. The merchandise should not be returned to us until notified to do so by the carrier. All packaging materials must be retained including styrofoam peanuts, inner and outer cartons, labeling,> etc. for inspection by the carrier or the claim may be denied. With shipments properly packaged (as all our shipments are), the ultimate responsibility for delivery in good condition rests with the carrier.
DEFECTIVE ITEMS
Defective items should be returned to AES or the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement, at the manufacturer’s discretion. After processing, we will return it via ground method, at our expense in the 48 contiguous states. If you receive defective equipment, call our Customer Service Department at 414-358-4087 for instructions. It is the customer’s responsibility to return the defective merchandise to AES or the factory. The manufacturer’s warranty does not include reimbursement for freight charges. Canadians please see “Canadians Note:” under TRADE-INS.
INTERNET ORDERS
The customer may order products directly on our web site via our internet order form. If the customer does not have access to the web please call in or mail your order to any AES location. See page 134 for order blank.
PAYMENT
Accepted forms of payment are electronic bank transfer (add $30.00 Wire Transfer Fee), certified check, personal check, money order, credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, IMPAC), or COD. The customer’s choices of payment methods may depend on amount of purchase or destination of shipment.

PRICING
We will pass on decreases in pricing to our customers whenever possible. Due to foreign currency fluctuations, promotions, manufacturers’ specials, etc.; prices may vary, so be sure to confirm prices when ordering. All prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. AES is not responsible for typographical errors or omissions.
REFUNDS
Amounts under $5.00 are not refunded unless requested in writing to the Milwaukee headquarters within 12 months.
RETURNS
In order to maintain the lowest possible prices, we do not offer a free trial or evaluation period on new equipment. If permitted, an authorized return of merchandise for credit (it must be like new with all original packaging) will be subject to a Minimum 15% Restocking Fee. The item must be returned within 10 days after receipt, prepaid, with a copy of the purchase invoice and a letter describing the reason for the return. No returns on antennas, towers, cable, items drop-shipped from the manufacturer, audio or video tapes, kits, books, or computer software. Canadians please see“Canadians Note:” under TRADE-INS.
REFUSED ORDERS
If a package is refused by the customer the actual outbound freight and actual inbound freight charges by the carrier will be deducted from the return. Packages returned by the customer unopened will only be subject to actual outbound freight. AES also reserves the right to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee to the return.
PACKING FOR SERVICE AND/OR RETURN
When returning heavy, delicate, and expensive equipment, it must be carefully packed in order to avoid damage caused by normal transportation dynamics. When contents of packages are damaged, claims will be paid only if the carton and packing meet standards set in the International Safe Transit Association Procedure 1 and 1-A. These standards simply state that cartons and packing should provide reasonable protection to their contents. Ideally, contents should be suspended in the center of the carton by the packing material, no less than three inches on all sides for heavy items. For items heavier than 20 lbs., 3 in. of foam or crumpled paper should be used instead of polystyrene edge protectors. Send your package insured.

When you send your well-packed parcel to AES, be sure to include a letter inside the package stating your call, name, address, e-mail address, phone and reason for return. Do not rely on information written or taped on the outside of the carton.
SHIPPING
Shipping charges, which include adequate insurance, are based on the Order Total at the time of the initial shipment (COD fees not included). The order amount on which charges are determined is pre-coupon and pre-tax (see chart on this page for rates). Cancellations on partially shipped orders will not affect the shipping charges. All back-orders from partially shipped orders are shipped PREPAID at the expense of AES via UPS Ground Service to the contiguous 48 states only. Shipping calculations on Ground method to the contiguous 48 states have been simplified by utilizing flat-rate categories (see chart on this page for rates). Other expedited methods and any USPS methods are charged at regular rates without any credit for ground rates. CODs are not accepted for these faster methods or USPS. Shipments to APO/FPO are via Priority Mail. Orders exceeding ground method weight, size or value limits will be shipped via Truck or Air Freight collect. Shipping charges are taxable in WI, OH, FL & NV.
To insure orders arrive quickly, AES stocks items at all four locations. Occasionally, an item will be temporarily unavailable at certain branches, due to various reasons. In this case, AES will ship the order from a location that has the needed item.
TRADE-INS - CALL BEFORE SENDING
Amateur Electronic Supply accepts trade-ins on new equipment purchases, the worth of which is determined by the electrical and physical condition of the item. Estimates are given assuming the trade-in is in good electrical and physical condition. If it is not, a deduction will be made.

To facilitate a trade-in, the customer can choose one of the following:
(A) Purchase the new item(s), send in the trade for evaluation, and have the trade-in amount refunded or credited.
(B) Send in the trade and have the order held until the trade-in amount is determined.
When shipping trade-ins for evaluation, use a sturdy carton (double boxing is recommended) and plenty of packing material. Ship PREPAID & FULLY INSURED. Do not use Bus or Parcel Post. Collect shipments not accepted.
AES assumes no responsibility for damage in transit or for filing of damage claims. Canadians, inquire locally about taxes and/or customs charges before releasing your shipment.

Canadians Note
: Returned equipment not originally manufactured in the U.S. will be subject to valuation and custom charges, plus broker’s fees. Check customs before shipping anything to us, including new equipment for warranty repair. We will not accept any shipments from outside of the U.S. unless all fees are paid in advance.
BIDS & PURCHASE ORDERS
AES accepts written and signed Purchase Orders from well rated D&B companies, military, schools, colleges, universities and federal, state, county and city Government agencies.

We welcome the chance to bid on your requirements and search the Internet daily for requests from all Government agencies. We are registered with FACNET and accept Government I.M.P.A.C.® charge cards. For more information please contact any AES location.
SPECIAL ORDERS
Occasionally manufacturers offer items that AES doesn't stock. However, we can order these items for you. Please contact sales: info@aesham.com for more information on special orders. Please note that once a special order is placed it cannot be canceled or returned.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
AES can ship orders internationally. However our domestic policies do not apply to these orders. Payments will need to be made via bank wire transfer. We charge the actual freight amount, and the buyer will be responsible for all local fees and duties. To get a quote for an international order please contact info@aesham.com for complete details. All international regulations apply.
EU COUNTRIES
Due to current European Union (EU) regulations, AES CANNOT export most products to EU member countries and members of the European Economic Area (EEA).
